I love to go hiking. Somehow, I grew up with a great appreciation for the outdoors - probably because I was a biology major in college. Nature, ecology, and the role animals and plants play in the world we live in today fascinated me. Going out into a forest or up some mountains reminds me how big the world really is.

Two of my favorite places to hike are around Sedona, AZ and Lake Tahoe, CA/NV. I've only been going to Sedona for three years in a row, but it's one of the best places for hiking, in my opinion. As for Tahoe, my family and I have gone to Lake Tahoe nearly every summer since I was a barely a teenager (actually, so long ago that I'm not even sure when we started going), and for the past 10-15 years, I've made it a point to go hiking. I love hiking in these two places so much that I try to cram in at least one hike per day, sometimes two or three, depending on the trail lengths!

Below are my blog posts that specifically are about hiking, in Sedona, Lake Tahoe, or wherever else I may find myself with good trails to hike. Check them out and try these hikes yourself!
